Vestas wins an order to repower 158 MW of wind power in the US.

Vestas has received an order for 158 MW to repower three undisclosed projects in the United States. The order consists of 72 V120-2.2 MW wind turbines for the three projects.

The orders include the supply, delivery and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimized asset performance.

In the US, Vestas has repowered more than 1 GW of wind power projects in the last five years across all major wind turbine brands.

Deliveries of the wind turbines for each wind farm are expected to begin in Q4 2023 with commissioning scheduled for Q4 2024.

The client and projects are not disclosed.
