Vestas secures a 401 MW order for a wind farm in Arizona, USA

Vestas has received a nameplate capacity order of 401 MW for the West Camp Wind Farm in Navajo County, Arizona, owned by The AES Corporation. The order consists of 89 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines.

The order includes the supply, delivery and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimized performance of the asset.

“This is a significant order that represents a key milestone for the state of Arizona, and we look forward to partnering with AES to continue the growing acceleration of wind energy in the state, particularly with one of the industry’s highest-producing low-output wind turbines.” “Laura said. Beane, president of Vestas North America.

Delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024 and their commissioning is scheduled for 2025.
