Nordex receives order to supply 94 MW to wind power in Brazil

Nordex has received an order for N163/5.X wind turbines from Brazil. The manufacturer will supply 16 wind turbines for the 94.4 MW “EOL TODA ENERGIA 2” wind farm for TODA Investimentos do Brasil.

The wind farm will be built in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, near the city of Pedro Avelino. Installation is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024. The Nordex Group will install the turbines in 120-meter concrete towers manufactured at its local plant in Lajes in Rio Grande do Norte.

TODA Investimentos do Brasil is a subsidiary of TODA Corporation, a Japanese company engaged in a wide range of business activities, including renewable energy, with branches in Japan, Brazil, the US, and regions of Southeast Asia and Africa.

The Group has installed more than 41 GW of wind power capacity in more than 40 markets and in 2021 generated revenue of €5.4 billion. The company currently employs a staff of approx. 9,000. Joint manufacturing capacity includes factories in Brazil, Germany, India, Mexico, Spain and the United States. The product portfolio is focused on onshore turbines in the 4 to 6.X MW class, which are tailor-made for the market requirements of countries with limited space and regions with limited grid capacity.
