Wind power: Senvion already installed 6,000 wind turbines

Senvion India bags order to supply wind turbines for JSW Energy’s 591-MW wind farm

The wind turbines will be deployed in JSW Energy’s ongoing pipeline of wind energy projects.
Senvion, a manufacturer of wind turbines, on Monday said it has been awarded a 591-megawatt (MW) project to deliver its wind turbines for JSW Energy.

The wind turbines will be deployed in JSW Energy’s ongoing pipeline of about 2.5 gigawatt (GW) of renewable projects which are under construction.

According to the joint press release, the project will comprise 2.7 MW turbines which would produce enough clean energy for powering over 450,000 houses in India. The delivery of the turbines will start from the first half of 2022.
“We are happy to work with Senvion in our flagship wind projects… and look forward to on-time completion of the under-construction projects,” said Prashant Jain, managing director and chief executive officer, JSW Energy.

Recently, Senvion India was fully acquired by Alfanar Group. It’s portfolio includes technology development, manufacturing and sales, and services and solutions.
