Wind power and Made-in-America go hand in hand

The National Association of Manufacturers is celebrating National Manufacturing Day today, and American wind power is proud to contribute to the cause.

Over 500 U.S. factories across 41 states build wind turbines and parts for them. More than 25,000 U.S. workers have wind manufacturing jobs today, and that number could grow by another 8,000 in the next four years.

Ohio leads the way with 61 wind factories, while fellow Rust Belt states Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have 26 apiece and Michigan 25. That brings new opportunities to areas that need them. Texas, the country’s wind leader, also has 40 plants building wind-related parts. Here’s why it makes sense to build so many wind parts here in the U.S.:
