It is the first order for a Croatian project for Senvion, the firm said, marking its sixth new market since 2016.

The Greda wind project will comprise five Senvion MM92 2MW turbines with a hub height of 80 metres.

It will be installed at a site near the city of Blato, southern Croatia.

“This project proves that there are business opportunities all over the world. By entering the sixth country since 2016, Senvion proves that is able to convert these opportunities into successes,” said Senvion CEO Juergen Geissinger.

The German manufacturer announced in February 2016 that its initial public offering on the Frankfurt stock exchange would be used to fund expansion in to new markets.

Since then, the company has announced debut deals in Chile, Norway, Ireland, India and Serbia. It also opened a regional office in Japan.
