Wind power in India: Suzlon wind turbines for a 90 MW wind farm

Suzlon will be the engineering, procurement and construction services provider on a 90 MW wind farm, located in India.

The contract with ReNew Power, one of India’s largest independent power producers, calls for the supply and installation of 43 Suzlon S97-2.1 MW units. The wind turbines will be perched on top of 120-meter made of lattice and steel. The hybrid tower is designed to harness energy across low-wind sites, Suzlon notes.
The project will be completed by March 2016. To date, Suzlon has commissioned 98.7 MW for the developer and has 100.8 MW under execution in Rajasthan.
