19 Goldwind wind turbines in Morgado wind energy plant in Brazil

All 19 wind turbines in Morgado wind farm owned by Energimp in the state of Ceará of Brazil reached full power generation, after 4 years of problematic operation since it started to experience technical failures.

After the “SRR” – Supply of generator, Repair and Retrofit contract signed in April this year, Goldwind changed 15 generators for Morgado project, performed repair and retrofit for all 19 turbines. In all clusters of projects owned by Energimp in Brazil, Morgado project has the most challenging environment of high temperature, high humidity and high salt, for being on the northeastern coast of Brazil.

Since the “re-commissioning” of the project, Goldwind and Enerigmp started the 10-year Service and Availability Agreement for the project, which will ensure the remaining lifetime operation of the wind turbines.

The “SRR” works for other clusters including Papagaio, Quixaba in Ceará state and Água Doce in Santa Catarina state are being carried out at the moment.
