Scotland approves E.ON’s 59.4 MW wind farm

The Scottish government has approved E.ON’s application to build an 18-turbine wind farm at Benbrack, the German utility said in a statement on Monday.

The site will be capable of producing up to 59.4 megawatt (MW) of electricity, it added.

Concerning the Benbrack project, E.ON stated on the website: “We choose our wind farm sites very carefully and always consider the area’s wind resources, road access and connections to the national electricity network and the site’s geographical position so that we can minimise visual impact of the project where possible.”
