Suzlon lands 105 MW wind energy order

Suzlon Energy Ltd has announced that it has received maiden order of 105 MW from Greenko Group.
The project will be located in Andhra Pradesh, India and will be progressively commissioned by January 2017.

Suzlon says the order, which marks its first with Greenko, comprises 50 units of the S97 120-meter 2.1 MW hybrid tower.

The project, located in Andhra Pradesh, India, will be progressively commissioned next January.

“We are delighted to partner with Greenko,” notes Ishwar Mangal, chief sales officer for Suzlon. “It is a clear indication of the traction in overseas IPPs’ engagement with sustainable renewable technologies like wind energy. The Indian government’s thrust on renewables and its conducive polices have encouraged IPPs to foray in the renewable energy sector. Today, IPPs are integral to our capacity build-up in India.”
