Wind energy in Austria: Vestas wind turbines for a 33 MW wind farm

Vestas Wind Systems said on Monday it had received a 33 megawatt turbine order for a wind power plant in Austria.

The order was for 10 units of the V126-3.3 MW turbine for the power plant Hohenruppersdorf II, Vestas said in a statement.

The contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a 20-year service agreement, Vestas said.

The turbine delivery is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2015 and commissioning is planned for the second quarter of 2016.

In general, wind turbine orders give Vestas revenue of around 0.86 million euros per megawatt on average.
