Shitang wind power plant will provide clean electricity to the Fujian province in China

Vestas has received a 48 MW order from Fujian Funeng New Energy Co. Ltd. for 24 units of the V90-2.0 MW wind turbine. The Shitang wind power plant will provide clean electricity to the Fujian province in China.

The contract includes delivery, installation, and commissioning of the wind turbines, which is expected to occur during the third and fourth quarter of 2015. The project also includes a three-year Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 service contract.

Since 2009, Fujian Funeng New Energy has been a significant player in the Chinese wind industry, and has previously worked with Vestas on five different projects totalling 172 MW. “Vestas is pleased that Fuijan Funeng New Energy has chosen to work with us on our sixth project together. The results that we have previously accomplished together emphasise our strong partnership, and we are certain that this will be the case for the Shitang project as well”, says Chris Beaufait, President of Vestas Asia Pacific & China.
