DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) has purchased one of two Pheasant Run wind parks from a NextEra Energy Resources LLC. (NYSE: NEE) subsidiary.
The 75-MW Pheasant Run II wind park in Huron County, Michigan will be renamed the Brookfield Wind Park.
The wind farm entered operation earlier this year, however, it will shut down for less than two weeks during the transition and to convert the communication infrastructure.
NextEra Energy Resources subsidiary will continue to own and operate Pheasant Run I. Energy produced from Pheasant Run I will continue to be purchased by DTE Energy.
Each 75-MW wind park includes 44 1.7-MW GE wind turbines.
