Godawari Green Energy commissions India

Godawari Green Energy Limited (GGEL) has started injecting power to the Grid on June 5, 2013 coinciding with World Environment day. With this achievement Godawari Green Energy Limited (GGEL) has become the Nation’s First Solar Thermal Power Plant under JNNSM, Phase – I.

The ground breaking ceremony for this project was held on June 26, 2011. J.P.Tiwari, CEO, GGEL, commissioned the plant in presence of officials and employees of GGEL.
This unique Solar Thermal Power Plant has employed Parabolic Trough CSP Technology with state of the art SKAL-ET 150 trough structure. GGEL is a 100% subsidiary of Godawari Power & Ispat Limited, a BSE listed company of Hira group of Industries from Chhattisgarh.
The Managing Director, GGEL Siddharth Agrawal has congratulated the GGEL’s project team on achieving this arduous task of commissioning Nation’s first Solar Thermal Power Plant in a time bound manner under such inclement environmental conditions and thanked all the suppliers, sub-suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors who supported GGEL in achieving this mile stone.
He expressed his gratitude towards the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, the NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd, The Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation & the Government of Rajasthan for their support and motivation.
Godawari Green Energy Limited is established at Village- Nokh, Tehsil- Pokhran, Dist- Jaisalmer-Rajasthan. This Project is capable of lighting 2.5 million homes in India without adding harmful air pollutants and Green house gases into the atmosphere.
