Enel Green Power Connects Wind Farm in Mexico

Enel Green Power (EGP) has connected the 70 MW Zopiloapan – Bii Nee Stipa III wind farm to the Mexican electric grid.

The project, located in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, is the developer’s second wind farm in Mexico. Thanks to the excellent wind conditions in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, the new wind farm has a load factor of around 40%, according to EGP.

The wind farm, designed and built by Gamesa, consists of 35 2 MW Gamesa wind turbines and required a total investment of approximately 160 million.
