Schneider Power to Commence Construction of Arthur Wind Farm

Schneider Power Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: QTWW) announced that it has received its building permit to commence construction of the Arthur Wind Farm starting May 24th, 2010. The wind farm will comprise five Enercon wind turbines with a combined generating capacity of 10 Megawatts.

The wind farm is located on 348 acres of private farmland on Line 2, between Eliza Street and Sideroad 3 in the town of Arthur, Ontario, Canada. During construction of the wind farm, local residents may experience temporary traffic delays on roads as equipment and wind turbines parts are delivered to the site. Schneider Power will make every effort to warn local residents of upcoming traffic disruptions so that they may plan to take alternate routes.

Thomas Schneider, President of Schneider Power, said "We are very excited by this historic moment as it is the second wind power plant to be constructed by our Company in Ontario." He added further "We would like to thank the community of Arthur and the Township of Wellington North for their continued support of this project. Together we are one step closer to a sustainable energy future."

Schneider Power would like to ensure that the construction of the Arthur Wind Farm poses as little inconvenience as possible to the Town of Arthur. Residents are urged to contact the Company if they have any issues related to construction activities.

Because the construction of a wind farm requires the use of very large equipment and the process is a visual attraction, residents wishing to view the installation are asked to please keep a safe distance from construction activities and refrain from entering private property.
