enXco 106 MW Hoosier Wind Project

enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company (PARIS: EEN) announces Commercial Operation of the 106 megawatt Hoosier Wind Energy Project which will deliver carbon-free electricity into the Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) generation portfolio. This project brings enXco’s gross installed wind energy capacity to 965.4 MW.

Hoosier Wind Project, located near Fowler Indiana in Benton County, consists of 53 REpower wind turbines each with a rated capacity of 2 MW. IPL signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement in April 2008 with construction commencing in April 2009. enXco Service Corporation will provide operations and maintenance services.
