Nordex receives orders for 78 MW of wind power in Greece

Nordex has been awarded contracts to supply and install 14 Delta4000 series N149/5.X wind turbines for three projects in Greece. Each of the orders also includes a ten-year Premium Service for the maintenance of the wind turbines.

The name of the client and the names of the projects have been withheld at the request of the client.

Two wind farms with a total of 10 wind turbines will be built in Boeotia, in central Greece, while a wind farm with four wind turbines will be installed in Achaia, in the northwest of the Peloponnese, in western Greece.

The Nordex Group will install the wind turbines on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 105 meters from 2024. After commissioning, the three wind farms will produce more than 232 GWh of electricity per year. This is equivalent to the consumption of 60,000 Greek households and avoids the emission of about 100,000 tons of CO2 per year. The customer has entered into long-term corporate power purchase agreements for the three wind farms.
The Group has installed around 44 GW of wind power capacity in more than 40 markets and generated revenue of €5.7 billion in 2022. The company currently employs a workforce of approx. 9,000. Joint manufacturing capacity includes factories in Brazil, Germany, India, Mexico, Spain and the United States. The product portfolio is focused on onshore turbines in the 4 to 6.X MW class, which are tailor-made for the market requirements of countries with limited space and regions with limited grid capacity.
