World Wind Energy Market has reached 486 GW from where 54 GW has been installed last year

The worldwide wind energy capacity reached 486,661 MW by the end of 2016, out of which 54,846 MW were added in 2016. This represents a growth rate of 11,8 % (17,2 % in 2015). All wind turbines installed worldwide by the end of 2016 can generate around 5 % of the world’s electricity demand.
China and Latin America has increased their share of new installations to 53 % and 6,5 % respectively.
