Wind power would generate 11.5% of energy in Brazil

Wind power would generate 11.5% of energy. That’s 23.9GW of installed capacity. According to the report, small hydropower, biomass and solar energy would account for 32.6GW – 15.8% of total generation.

 

 

Brazil could meet 84% of its electricity needs through renewable energy sources by 2024.

The country is expected to install 173 GW of green energy capacity during the same period.

A report approved by the Brazilian Government revealed hydropower would provide the highest amount of power (57%) by 2024, with a capacity of 117GW. It also stated five million barrels of oil are expected to be produced per day. Around two million barrels are forecast to be exported every day.
