Nordex is lined up to supply turbines to Exelon Wind’s Fourmile Ridge project in Maryland.

Nordex will deliver N100 2.5MW wind turbines to the ridge-top site in Garrett County, Synergics Wind Energy spokesman Frank Maisano told reNews. Synergics developed the wind farm and is assisting with construction.

Contractors White Construction and MJ Electric are hired to build the project and earth moving kicked off this month.

“Tree clearing has been completed and access roads are under construction,” said Maisano.

State regulators have approved installation of up to 24 turbines. Testing is slated to begin in November with commercial operation anticipated by the end of 2014.
