Senvion (Suzlon) commissions its first Ontario wind farm

Senvion has completed commissioning of the Oxley wind farm. Senvion says this is the first Ontario project out of a pipeline of about 200 MW the German wind turbine supplier has contracted in the province so far.

Located in Essex County, the wind farm features three Senvion MM92 wind turbines on 100-meter towers. The wind turbines are adapted for cold climates and have a total installed capacity of 6 MW.

Oxley Wind Farm Inc., founded by Glen Estill and Henry Verhoeven, developed the project. Senvion has also concluded a 10-year service contract with the developer and is implementing a service station on site.
