Vestas has received an order totalling 48 MW, consisting of 24 units of the V100-2.0 MW turbine model, from Hebei Construction and Investment Group (HECIC), the leading infrastructure construction corporations in Hebei province. This order is the third Chinese order year-to-date for the V100-2.0 MW low-wind turbine. The turbines will be installed in Changli Datan, Hebei province. The average wind speed on the site is as low as 6 metres per second, among the lowest wind speed sites in China for which Vestas has ever provided solutions. With this project, Vestas takes another step into the low-wind regime in China. President of Vestas Asia Pacific & China Jens Tommerup notes,
