The wind energy produced 19,3% of of electricity in June in Spain

The peninsular electricity demand in the month of June, after taking into account the effects of timing and temperatures fell by 1.8% over the same month last year. Gross demand has been from 19,239 GWh, 7.3% lower than in June 2012.

In June, the generation from renewable energy sources in Spain has accounted for 45.2% of production: The wind energy was 19.3%, 2.9% concentrating solar power and solar PV 5.1 %.The wind energy produced 19.3% of electricity in June in Spain, 2.9% concentrating solar thermal and photovoltaic solar energy 5.1%.

In the first half of the year, adjusted for calendar effects and temperatures, the consumption was 2.7% lower than last year. Electricity demand in this period was 122 871 GWh, 3.8% less than in the same period of 2012.

 

 

The production of wind energy in this the month totaled 3,582 GWh, 13.3% higher compared to the same period last year, and represents 19.3% of total production.

 

 

In June, the generation from renewable energy sources represented 45.2% of production. 64.7% of electricity production this month came from technologies that emit no CO2.
