Enel Green Power has connected to the grid its first wind farm in Chile, located in Talinay (region of Coquimbo).

The Talinay wind farm has an installed capacity of 90 MW and will be able to generate up to 200 million kWh per year once fully operational.

The new plant, designed and developed by Danish company Vestas, is comprised of forty-five 2 MW wind turbines also built by Vestas.

Construction of the Talinay plant required a total of, approximately, 165 million US dollars.

With the start-up of operations at Talinay, Enel Green Power has strengthened its presence in the promising Chilean renewable energy market by expanding its installed capacity to 182 MW.

The Company is currently in the process of constructing a 90 MW wind farm in Valle de los Vientos, in region II of Antofagasta. Once completed, this wind farm will bring Enel Green Power
