Over the last few years the number of countries that has focused on geothermal energy as an important source for energy generation has more than doubled, as demonstrated by a recent study conducted by the US-based analyst Pike Research.
The report shows that, thanks to technological development, 64 countries in the world have began harnessing energy from geothermal resources, and 454 projects are being enacted in this field.
