Masdar to develop 15 MW solar energy plant in Mauritania

Masdar announced today the development of a 15-megawatt solar power project in Nouakchott, the capital city of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The plant will deliver 10 per cent of electricity capacity in Mauritania. Masdar is a renewable energy company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, which has large and small-scale power projects around the world.

The project is the first utility-scale solar power installation in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
