Canada Pension Fund Poised for Stake in UK Wind Farm

A Canadian pension fund is poised to make a 500 million pound ($790 million) swoop for a stake in the London Array, the world’s largest offshore wind farm, the Sunday Times Reports, without citing sources.

The U.K. paper says it is understood that pension fund Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec is close to buying half of Dong Energy’s 50% stake in the development off the Kent coast.

Energy utility Eon and investment group Masdar, are not selling their stakes, the Sunday Times added.
