Copisa signs EUR 8 mln contract to build new wind farm in Romania’s Dobrogea

Spanish construction company Copisa will build its third wind farm project in Romania, after landing a EUR 8 million deal for a wind energy park at Chirnogeni, in Constanta county.

The Spanish firm will work for five months and install 32 wind turbines of 2.5 MW each, as well as a 25-kilometer access road.

This is Copisa’s third project in Romania, after building the first two phases of a wind park in Mihai Viteazu, also in the Dobrogea region. Copisa runs its own subsidiary in Bucharest.

The 80 – MW wind power park at Chirnogeni is being built by Iberdrola for EP Wind Project Six. The project will use wind turbines from Nordex.
