New innovations displayed at WFES

Entrepreneurs are gathering at the sixth edition of the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) to showcase the latest solutions and innovations in the global renewable energy sector.

These solutions are designed to address the major challenges of the renewable energy industry, such as the improvement of energy efficiency. In total, about 58 products will be launched during WFES, which is hosted by Masdar and will be running until the 17th of January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Areva (Stand 7400), a concentrated solar power (CSP) provider, designer and manufacturer, showcases its Compact Linear Fresnel Reflector (CLFR) which uses rows of mirrors to track sunlight and concentrate it onto an overhead, stationary receiver.

BYD Company Limited (Stand 6130) displays its Distributed Energy Storage System which offers basic electricity needs in emergency situations in remote applications without a utility grid.

Changzhou Trina Solar (Stand 6100) presents its PDG5 solar cell innovation for use on large-scale projects.

First Solar (Stand 7330), premier provider of PV energy solutions, offers solutions across the entire solar value chain, including project financing and development, module manufacturing, grid-integration and stability, engineering, procurement and construction, and operations and maintenance.

Jinko Solar (Stand 7343) will have its Mono Crystalline Module on display, while in the German pavilion, SMA Solar Technology will exhibit its Sunny Central CP XT series, designed to maximise yields with lower system costs.

WFES is co-located with the inaugural International Water Summit as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW). Both events are hosted by Masdar.
