Excellent results achieved by Nordex N117/2400 wind turbine in the first year of operation

One year after the installation and start-up of the first N117/2400 with a hub height of 91 metres at the Stadum-Sprakebüll citizens’ wind farm in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, Nordex SE is able to report favourable figures.

The wind turbine has achieved an annual yield of 7,800 MWh in 7,600 operating hours at the site with average annual wind speeds of 7 metres per second, equivalent to a capacity factor of approx. 42.7%.

Despite scheduled downtimes for testing and certification, more than 3,250 full-load hours have been registered since the turbine went into operation on 23 December 2011.

Since the commencement of series production in summer 2012, Nordex has assembled a total of 50 N117/2400 turbines around the world. This includes the 34 turbines at the Beebe Renewable Energy wind farm in Gratiot County, Michigan, United States, as well as turbines for the German wind farms Remlingen, Hohenahr and Hohen Luckow among others.
