Vestas receives 74 MW order in South Africa

Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order for 41 V100-1.8 MW wind turbines for South Africa.

Vestas Wind Systems A/S (VWS), the world’s largest wind turbine maker, has received an order to install 74 megawatts worth of turbines in South Africa.

The company, based in Aarhus, Denmark, plans to deliver 41 1.8-megawatt turbines in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to a company statement today. Vestas did not disclose the customer or the name of the project, which will be commissioned by February 2014, according to the statement.
