Wind farm in Brazil granted regulatory approval

Brazil’s Mining and Energy Ministry (MME) approved the independent production of power from four wind farms with a combined capacity of 120 MW, according to BNamericas.

The Baixa do Feijao I, II, III and IV wind farms have physical guarantees of 13.7 MW, 14.8 MW, 14.4 MW and 14.3 MW, respectively, and an installed capacity of 30 MW each, the article said. The wind projects are reportedly expected to bring in $200 million in investments.
