Application submitted for Beatrice offshore wind farm

The proposed wind farm would have 142 to 277 wind turbines, depending on turbine size.

Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd (BOWL) has submitted an application to the Scottish government to develop the Beatrice offshore wind farm in the Outer Moray Firth.

BOWL is a joint venture partnership formed between SSE Renewables (75%), SSE’s renewable energy development division, and Repsol Nuevas Energias UK (25%) (formerly SeaEnergy Renewables).

The late April application is the first of the Scottish Territorial Waters sites to be submitted for consideration. The proposed wind farm would have 142 to 277 wind turbines, depending on turbine size.
