China’s Shandong province generates 3.2 billion kWh of wind power in first half year

Wind farms in China’s Shandong province generated 3.2 billion kWh of electricity in the first six months of 2012, representing an increase of 34.4 per cent compared to the corresponding period of last year, according to Shandong Electric Power Corporation, a subsidiary of the State Grid.

As of the end of June, the province’s installed wind power capacity reached 3.35 million KW.
