The Spanish industry will cooperate with China in wind power

The Spanish industry will cooperate with China in wind energy. Minister of Industry announced on Monday a possible new partnership between Spanish companies and the China National Energy Agency in wind power, but denied reports that a Chinese state-owned group has submitted bids to buy electricity transmission companies and gas Spanish.

"Today I know I certainly do not offer any Chinese company that is in an approach of that nature," said Jose Manuel Soria in an interview with radio station Onda Cero.

Soria announced that Gamesa, the Spanish Electricity Network and the National Agency of Energy of China have raised an agreement to install a 500 megawatt wind farm.

"The novelty (of this collaboration) is the innovation that incorporates Gamesa’s wind turbines to 4.5 megawatts, when the normal is 1-1.5 megawatts," said Soria.
