Wind Energy Update: Expanding Indian Wind IPP Communit

This has resulted in new business opportunities, and not just for domestic suppliers; with uncertainty in the European market, international manufacturers and ISPs are looking to the Indian wind industry to take advantage of the rapid growth.

The Independent Power Producers (IPPs), those at the forefront of the next generation of wind development, see the fiscal modifications as an ultimately positive move for the industry. “There may be temporary drop in capacity additions. But in the long run, the quality of projects will improve, and the investment environment will get better as well”, states Sunil Jain, the Chief Operating Officer for IPP Green Infra.

In a reflection of the optimism and opportunity within the industry, principal IPPs, OEM leaders and key government ministers and financiers have committed to meet and collaborate at the Wind Energy Update Wind Development Forum this 6-7 September in New Delhi.

Featuring the CEOs of Gamesa, Suzlon, Acciona India and Vestas, and the COOs of CLP Windfarms, Mytrah Energy, Green Infra, Orient Green Power as well as IREDA and the MNRE, this is the premium commercial networking forum for those looking to enter and succeed in the next generation of Indian wind development.
