Wind energy in Spain: Vestas receives its first V100-2.0 MW wind turbines order

Vestas has received its first V100-2.0 MW turbine order from Eyra Instalaciones y Servicios for the Valcaire wind power plant to be installed close to Granada, Spain. The eight units of the V100-2.0 MW with a total capacity of 16 MW will be delivered to the site during the second half of 2012 and the wind power plant is expected to be commissioned by the end of the same year.

The contract includes delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline® Business SCADA solution, as well as a 5-year service and maintenance AOM 4000 agreement (Active Output Management). The AOM 4000 is a full-scope service contract, consisting of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and consumables, which offers solid risk management for customers, who want an availability guarantee measured against an agreed threshold. This type of contract offers customers assured performance avoiding unforeseen operational costs of any kind.

Eyra Instalaciones y Servicios is the ACS Group’s company dedicated to the promotion, construction, operation and maintenance of renewable energy generating plants, particularly wind power plants and thermal solar plants. The ACS Group is a worldwide player dedicated to energy and infrastructure development.

Eyra Instalaciones y Servicios has installed more than 244 MW of Vestas wind power plants.
