Soitec Announces Project Financing for Concentrated Solar Photovoltaic Power Project in Western Cape

Soitec, a manufacturer of semiconductor materials for the electronic and energy industries, announced project financing for the construction of a concentrated photovoltaic power project in Touwsrivier, Western Cape, South Africa.

The financing will be provided by Investec Bank Ltd. Investec will also raise equity for the construction of the project. The total installed capacity of the project will be 50 MW. The financial agreements are expected to be finalized by the end of second quarter of 2012.
