Enel Green Power signs EUR180m financing agreement for wind energy projects

Enel Green Power through its subsidiary Enel Green Power International has signed a financing agreement with Danish government’s Export Credit Agency and Citigroup to secure €180m.

The company said the financing will be used to finance its 120 MW Zephyr I wind farm in Romania, 200 MW Caney River wind power in the US and 90 MW Cristal wind turbines project in Brazil.

The construction of the three plants is estimated at €670m. Citigroup was the agent and arranger for the 12-year financing agreement, guaranteed by Enel Green Power.

In December 2011, Enel Green Power’s US subsidiary Enel Green Power North America signed a $340m tax equity partnership for the Caney River wind farm in Kansas and the Rocky Ridge wind farm in Oklahoma.
