It exhibited the plans at Killington, the nearest village to the site, and said residents had expressed "a range of opinion" at the event.
A group opposing the scheme, Fells, said the site is not suitable and there is already a wind farm nearby. A wind farm at Lambrigg, on the other side of the motorway, was built in 2000 by a different company.
Banks Renewables said its new development would generate enough electricity for nearly ten thousand homes.
