Two Wind Turbines for Stone Technology Corporation

Building Turbines, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: BLDW), a leading designer and manufacturer of commercial rooftop wind turbine systems and other renewable energy technologies, announced today that it has completed the sale of two Windtronics/Honeywell wind generators in conjunction with Eco-Wind Solutions, Inc. The client, Stone Technologies Corp, has been in business since 1965 using their expertise to power and remotely monitor communications towers in difficult and mountainous terrain. Art Stone, president of Stone Technologies Comp, has said ‘he is very satisfied’ with the system and is prepared to move toward offering the retrofit to many of the 80,000+ lighted towers in the U.S. with the Honeywell wind turbines as soon as possible.

‘Headquartered in Salida, CO, Stone Technologies will combine Wind Turbines and Solar energy to provide electricity for communication towers all over the country; mainly to power the warning lights which reveal location for aircraft. These first two turbines will be installed in demonstration locations in Colorado. Stone Technologies provides components for the Security Industry as well as remote Monitoring Equipment and this technology is a logical addition to our offering,’ says Mr. Stone.

Max Champie, COO of Building Turbines, states, ‘We are very excited to be working with Stone Technologies and find the opportunity to use our unique technology in innovative ways invigorating; the more uses we can find for our turbines the larger our customer base becomes. The possibilities seem limitless at this point.’

Based in Austin, Texas, Building Turbines, Inc. is a renewable energy company focused primarily on designing, manufacturing and deploying revolutionary rooftop mounted wind turbines and other renewable energy technologies for use in an urban environment.
