Allianz buys wind energy plants

Allianz buys two more Nordex wind power plants in France. Nordex scores a hit with wind energy projects developed in-house. Allianz now owns more than 100 MW of Nordex wind turbines.

The wind power manufacturer Nordex has sold two more newly installed wind farm plants with a total capacity of 22 MW to Allianz. This means that Allianz now owns more than 100 MW of Nordex wind turbines.

The manufacturer first developed both wind farm projects together with local partners. To date Nordex France has successfully developed and marketed some 600 MW.

The wind farm projects just sold, “Croquettes” and “Longchamp” are located in the Département of “Cher” in the centre of France and consist of a total of nine N100/2500 wind turbines. The energy yield produced by the turbines is forecast to cover the electricity consumption of some 11,300 households.
