EDF, Total, the French National Center for Scientific Research, or CNRS, and the higher education institute Ecole Polytechnique, have announced the creation of the Institut Photovoltaïque d’Ile-de-France, or IPVF.
The project will be done in association with industrial gasses company Air Liquide (>> AIR LIQUIDE), Horiba Jobin Yvon and Riber (>> RIBER), said the companies in a joint statement.
The IPVF will be one of the five largest centers worldwide and will eventually bring together almost 180 researchers, lecturers and students, the companies added.
