Gamesa has announced that it will supply five of its G97 2.0 MW wind turbines for the 10 MW Gesner Wind Farm, which is planned for Highgate, Ontario – marking the company’s first wind energy project in Canada.

The wind farm, which is being developed by Saturn Power, will be located near the northern shore of Lake Erie, between Chatham-Kent and London, Ontario, about 70 miles east of Detroit. The wind power output will be purchased by the Ontario Power Authority.
