Wind energy in Finland: WinWinD to build a 50 MW wind farm

WinWinD has won a tender for buying wind power project rights of the Myllykangas wind  farm near Kuivaniemi in the Northern Finland. The agreement was signed with the developer Metsahallitus, a Finnish state-owned company.

The new wind farm will be significant on a Finnish scale. The full-scale production capacity of the Myllykangas Wind Power Park is 50 megawatts, with a maximum of 19 wind turbines located in the area. The total investment in the park is approximately 90 million Euros.

Given that the project is shown green light, WinWinD will design and build the Myllykangas wind farm. WinWinD aims to start electricity production in the wind farm in the first quarter of 2013, provided that all required permits are granted.
