Natural Power selected for wind farm

Natural Power has been appointed as the owner’s engineer at the 20.5 MW Sixpenny Wood wind power farm for AES Wind Generation, a subsidiary of the energy company AES Corp (NYSE: AES).

Construction on the wind energy plant is expected to commence in February 2012 and will comprise of 10 REpower 2.05 MW wind turbines. Natural Power will be acting as the Construction Design and Management coordinator on behalf of AES Wind Generation.

Natural Power will be acting as Construction Design and Management co-ordinator on behalf of AES Wind Generation, which involves preparing the Health & Safety File as well as commenting on construction method statements. The consultancy will also deploy a Clerk of Works who will be on site monitoring the on-site progress and quality of the works, as well as reporting on any potential on-site health and safety issues, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with the planning conditions.
