Gamesa supplies 10 MW of wind turbines for Ontario wind farm

The Gesner Wind Farm is being developed by Saturn Power, and will provide power to the Ontario Power Authority. The G97 wind turbine is specially designed for low-wind sites and features a new aerodynamic blade tip.

“This is a new milestone for Gamesa,” comments David Takash, Vice President of Sales for Gamesa North America. “The Canadian wind energy market offers abundant opportunities, and Gamesa has the advanced technology products to bring this clean energy to market in a cost-effective way to benefit local consumers.”

Preliminary planning for the wind farm is under way and construction is set to begin in the summer. It is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of the year.
