REpower to deliver 11 wind turbines for Portugal wind farm

Suzlon Energy said its subsidiary REpower Systems SE will deliver 11 wind turbines for a wind energy project in Portugal. Germany-based REpower is a step-down, wholly-owned subsidiary of wind turbine-maker Suzlon Energy. However, the financial details of the wind power deal were not disclosed.

The wind power project in Portugal would have eight wind turbines of REpower MM92-type and three of MM82-type, Suzlon said in a statement.

"All wind turbines of the wind farm, which will be situated in central Portugal, will have a hub height of 80 metres and a nominal power of 2.05 MW. The wind energy project is scheduled to be commissioned in Q3, FY 13," it said.
