During the first eleven months of the year enrolled a total of 424 electric vehicles in Spain

Gradually the electric car is opening hole: During the first 11 months of the year 424 electric cars were registered, 90% more than the same period in 2010 and 69% more than the electric vehicles registered during the past year. However, many constraints still weigh down its final takeoff.

The acquisition aids are an incentive for its implementation, however barriers as a price far higher than fossil fuel vehicles or the lack of infrastructure adapted to this type of electric car and autonomy in some cases insufficient for daily use, do not be sufficiently attractive to the consumer.

From the administration and the industry itself is working towards overcoming these current barriers that make the electric car brake However, we estimate that it was not until 2020 when we start talking about the electric car as a representative of the sector, especially in those electric vehicles in use in metropolitan areas.

If we analyze the data by regions, Madrid is a leader in terms of number of registrations, both electric vehicles, with 180 electric cars in the first eleven months of the year, as in hybrids, with 3022 units (which equivalent to one third of the total market for these vehicles). In second place is Catalonia, with 90 electric cars and hybrid 2107 respectively.
